metaBOF scaling excel helps define the hardware requirements. Only the input field in blue can be adapted. 
The workbook provides 4 tabs:

Tab 1: metaBOF Scaling calculates the needs based on

  • number of camera lanes
  • vehicles per day per lane
  • size of PVMyr file (~image resolution)
  • retention period for overview & infrared images and metadata.
  • It also considers 3 environment: production, backup redundancy and staging
  • It includes optional neural network tools for MMCR and LPR (OCR2)

Tab 2: On Customer HW

  • Recalculates based on existing Customer Hardware as compared to standard hardware at Myriade.
  • And defines total required VM’s for Application servers, SQL servers and MongoDb servers.

Tab 3: Order

  • Gives an overview of #Cores, #RAM, #IOPS, #TB SSD, TB storage and #GPU
  • For Application servers, SQL servers, MongoDb servers and storage
  • Again, for Production, Redundancy and Staging

Tab 4: Growth Projection

  • Will extrapolate the needs according to % growth figures (per month, per quarter or per year)
  • Over 10 years starting from a given year
  • It considers PVMyr file size and retention
  • It functions in two steps: 
    • [Auto-fill] provides basic input which can be overwritten by the user
    • [Projection] provides the calculation based on final input data over 10 years.
  • It shows the most important data in a chart.
